Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays!

While driving to go to look at Christmas lights, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer came on the radio, and Kenzy started to sing, but not the correct words.
She sang,
Oh, my momma, she is famous
She does work from her computer!
It goes in the paper, and people love her
She gets lots of texts because she has lots of friends,
But I have more than her, but she has thousands.
And I loveeeeeeeee her soooo muchhhhhh.

“Kenz, you nailed that! That was so cute, sweetheart. Thank you!” I said.

For making up her own verses off the top of her head, I was really impressed.

She’s always genuinely a happy girl, but this time of year, the joy flows through her extra. (Like making up her own verses to Christmas songs.)

I remember that feeling of knowing Santa was coming soon. Knowing I’d be getting new toys and goodies in just a few short nights was so exciting!

I love watching the excitement in children this time of year. Watching that joy through other children helps me remember that feeling when I was a little girl.

It truly is such a fun time for young and old. It’s funny how things change as we get older, though. When I was younger, I loved getting gifts. But now that I am older, I love giving gifts!

Giving gifts to loved ones is the best part of the Christmas season for me.

Christmas day, I wake up with anticipation of giving gifts throughout that whole week and watching the excitement of my children throughout Christmas day. It’s one of the best days! (It’s pretty much the whole week; we celebrate Christmas with different families.)

BUT God gave us the best gift of all. Jesus born in a manger! It was all planned out centuries ago that all mankind would celebrate his birth for years and years to come. Mary was supposed to ride into Bethlehem on a donkey. Jesus was to be born in a manger surrounded by farm animals. The kings were to follow the star to bring the first gifts of Christmas. Angels brought good tidings and great joy! God gave the greatest story in history and the best gift of all!

If you want something heartfelt to listen to this week of Christmas, look up Perry Como’s The Story of the First Christmas. I enjoy listening to it every year.

I hope your Christmas season is full of love, laughter, joy, and giving!

It’s such a magical time. Allow yourself to feel like a kid again. Embrace every moment with family. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to each and every one of you!

It’s that time of year! I know so many of you look forward to this each year. I hear taking your children and grandchildren on a scavenger hunt on Candy Cane Lane on Summer Street in Duboistown is a part of your holiday each year. I enjoy doing this each year for you all! Whether you walk up or drive, I want you to have fun searching this magical street! It goes clear to the tippy top! Enjoy!
