A Reckless and Dangerous Decision

Christmas came early this past week in the highest-profile vape and cannabis oil case ever witnessed. I’m going to pick my words wisely, be brief, and not allow the Biden administration to turn me into the grinch with a pen. Most importantly, I don’t want to rant and allow the madness of the world to take my peace. This is the most joyous time of the year; we all need to focus on finding peace and kindness for our fellow man.

I hope Britney Griner, the American basketball star that was imprisoned in Russia, now uses her new lease on life to verbalize how very blessed we are to live in the United States of America. Griner and many of those around her have never shown the respect and patriotism for our Nation you hope those in the media spotlight would reflect. I hope her firsthand experiences of what really goes on in Russia, and countries like it, changes her perception of what is most important. I hope this gift allows her to understand why Americans and those that provide her freedom get so upset when celebrities turn their back on the American Flag and National Anthem. And then run to it in a time of need.

That gets me to the Biden administration, which negotiated a deal with Vladimir Putin to trade basketball star Griner’s freedom for that of international terrorist Viktor Bout. Bout who is known as the ‘Merchant of Death’ was convicted of conspiracy to kill Americans relating to his support of a Colombian terrorist organization. He is simply a high-end arms dealer that oversees a cartel that provides weapons to anybody that wants to kill. They also specialize in drug trafficking, human trafficking, and basically anything that infringes on human rights. The Nicholas Cage film “Lord of War” is supposedly based on his notoriety for running a fleet of Soviet cargo planes into war-torn parts of Africa.

It should not matter what your political affiliation is; this should appall and scare every American. President Biden proudly released this terrorist to a madman and unstable nation that is determined to start World War III. At best, this is an example of politics and political favors being more important than the American people and our national security. At worst, you have to wonder who is actually calling the shots and writing the policy behind President Biden and what the agenda is. This is definitely not in the best interest of our Nation or the free world.

I’ll stop there and wish a Merry Christmas to Britney Griner and Americans Mark Fogel and Marine Paul Whelan, who are still imprisoned in Russia even though many lobbied for their release.

Tis the Season

Wow, it’s hard to believe Santa’s midnight ride is only ten days away. There’s a lot of Christmas going on around the office, as Editor Steph has three elves on loan from the North Pole helping with our Blaise Alexander Family Dealerships Coloring Contest. Just a quick reminder to parents and grandparents, all the kids’ great work must be received by 2:00 p.m. this Friday.

Another Christmas event that is winding down is our Salvation Army Red Kettle bell ringing to carry on Dave Sechler’s great work. If possible, please drop by or mail in the donation by December 24th. Webb Weekly will match your generosity.

In closing things out this week, it was great to hear from Dan Fredericks. He wanted me to share with you a picture and story of his daughter Raigan’s monster buck.

Both also informed with me how excited they were to show the monster to Raigan’s mom and gram. He is a very proud Poppa.

The trophy sported 10 points with a 21″ outside spread. Raigan calmly dropped it with her trusted Savage 243 Muddy Girl rifle. What an absolute bruiser of a buck, but that wasn’t the best part of the conversation.

What brought a tear to my eye was talking with the daddy/daughter duo about how much they love hunting, fishing, and sharing God’s Green Earth together. When I asked Raigan what the best part of the hunt was, without missing a beat, she said, “spending time in the outdoors with my dad and enjoying nature.” Dad had already shared the same sentiment in an earlier conversation. Thank you both for the great buck story but even more for sharing your love of family and the outdoors with all of us.

Full details about our Uncle Ron’s Monster Buck Contest can be found on page 57.

God Bless America.
