A Trip to the Home Show and Back to Biden

A Webb Weekly tip of the cap to the West Branch Susquehanna Builders Association on their efforts for this year’s 61st Home Show. If you remember, last year’s Home Show got set up and torn down without anybody attending due to Governor Wolf’s orders regarding COVID. What a great effort this year by Carroll Pawlikowski, Executive Director, Association President Jim Hoffman, Hurley Kane, and the Home Show Committee.

It was great to see so many people out and about smiling, laughing, and enjoying life as usual. The available space at the Lycoming Mall provided a perfect venue. This year’s Home Show attendance was over 2,450 folks. That may sound a little less than the 2019 Show; however, that number included all children in attendance.

My staff and I are proud members and supporters of the West Branch Builders Association. It was great to meet and greet so many of you at our booth. Thank you for the kind words and some great story ideas.

Now what everybody wants to know, the winner of this year’s Home Show Grill and Chill Package. Thank you to Gary and his gang at Elery Nau in Montoursville, where customer service comes first, for providing the great grill. More importantly, for the assembly so I did not have to do it.

To Rupert’s Specialty Meats in Montoursville for providing a gift card for whatever the winner wants to throw on the grill. Mikey and his staff are always on point with everything that’s on the menu at his old-fashioned deli and butcher shop.

And last, but definitely not least, my good friend ol’ Chet Ruth down at Frosty Beverage in Muncy. His good people provide the chill, as in whatever cold beverage you choose to go with what’s sizzling and on the side of the plate.

So, just who was the winner out of all those “Register to Win!” Webb Weekly slips in the lucky top hats at the Show? Congrats to Mr. Rod Anspach of Allenwood. Alys Mingle and I have already delivered the grill package to the Anspachs.

Enough fun. Now to pick up where I left off last week, the “Absolute Presidential Absurdity” observed during Mr. Biden’s first 90 days in office. If you missed it or need to get caught up on anything, remember all can be found at webbweekly.com

Last column provided a quick overview of the crisis at the border, which continues to burn out of control with nothing being done from inside or outside the Oval Office. Can you imagine if this would have occurred during the Trump administration? The mainstream media would have had him impeached by now. I finished up with my thoughts on the 1.9 trillion dollar welfare package our federally elected claim benefits mostly the American people, but truly benefits the non-working, our supersized federal government, and those behind the government that figure out how to stake a claim in a share of the Monopoly money.

That gets us to the next absurdity. In 2019 the U.S. was the largest producer of both petroleum and natural gas in the world. Not only were we energy efficient, but working towards being the largest exporter of energy in the world. It was not rocket science that accomplished this; it was commonsense management of the American energy industry.

So, what does the inside-out approach of the Biden administration, controlled by a far-left wing socialist minority movement, and the billionaires using our Country as a cash machine do? They took the fastest growth in American energy history and kicked it to the curb. This to guarantee the return to world energy dependence. Not really a great way to strengthen the economy and protect, most importantly, our Nation’s sovereignty. Again, this is the type of issue the news media in this Country should be jumping on to hold government accountable.

President Biden and his buffoons shutting down the Keystone XL Pipeline may be the most treasonous act in American energy history. Governor Wolf not speaking up on the effect this would have on the Pennsylvania economy and standing up for the PA energy worker again shows us who he is.

The biggest winner in this debacle may have been Warren Buffett, who constantly proves America means nothing to him. The beyond billionaire will become even more wealthy just through the transportation of natural gas on his railroads from Canada to the United States. One of the biggest smoking guns of collusion and insider trading ever between a global billionaire and the federal government. Again, where’s the investigative reporting? President Joe says it isn’t so, and that’s good enough for them.

That gets us to the next and maybe the most important issue, candidate Biden’s often mentioned plan of attack on the Coronavirus. He was very specific; he had “the best plan” that would work, much different than anything being done. Well, if you believe that, I’ve got some beachfront property in Jersey Shore to sell you. And that’s Pennsylvania. Again, complete amnesia by the national news media and it is forgotten about.

Remember when the elected beyond liberal socialist would not take the vaccination pushed forward by the previous administration? You know, the same ones that pushed themselves to the front of the line in January and now claim to be the leaders of getting shots in arms of Americans. I will pick up at this point next week.

God Bless America.
