Hallelujah! Christ Arose!

Hallelujah! Christ Arose!

Up from the Grave he arose
With a mighty Triumph o’er his foes
He arose a Victor from his dark domain
And he Lives forever with his saints to reign
He arose!
He arose!
Hallelujah! Christ arose!
*Song by Daniel Thornton*

Happy Easter everyone! First and foremost, a shout out to the myth, the man, the legend. My Lord Jesus Christ who died on the cross for not ONLY me, but for you reading this right now. Yes, he died for you so that you could live eternity in heaven! All you have to do is ask forgiveness! We are all sinners and have our crosses to bear. He will forgive you.

John 3:16 tells us, For God so LOVED the world, that he gave his only begotten SON, and WHOSOEVER believeth in him shall not perish, but have EVERLASTING life!

What an incredible feeling. I mean just look around this world we live in. The gorgeous blue sky. The Pennsylvania mountains. Valleys and streams. Night and day. Wildlife and human life.

God made this world in less than a week y’all! He rested on Sunday.

Some weeks I can’t even get all the things on my to do list done! It blows my mind to look around, especially as the seasons change, knowing God did all this. Think about it, he created this world in one week! He has been working on heaven for centuries and centuries! Can you even wrap your head around just how beautiful it will be!? Not to mention meeting the Lord in person. Seeing the hole in his hands and feet from the nails pierced through to hang him, and the scars from the crown of thorns they placed upon his head during the resurrection. I can’t even imagine how his mother Mary felt watching all this. If you knew someone went through this all this pain and torture for you, wouldn’t you do anything for them? All God wants is our love for him! So, open your heart and let him in. I am going to be blunt here, but it’s only because I want to reach as many people as I can. Some folks think they are saved in their heads, but not truly in your hearts. If you died tomorrow, would you know one hundred percent that you will be in heaven?

You will feel a difference in yourself when it happens. I can’t tell you what a mess I would be living in this crazy world without the good Lord above. He provides! He blesses us in so many different ways. I can’t even explain it to you. He gives me peace every day. Knowing I have God in my heart and full time in my life, I know he always has my back no matter what happens. My heart is filled with love and joy thanks to him! All you have to do is say this little prayer.

Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior.

He will change your life in so many ways! I am really looking forward to celebrating his resurrection on Sunday. Last year we couldn’t even be with family, so this year I am so looking forward to going over to my Mom and stepdad’s for Easter. Love that famous Easter Ham with all the fixings.

You know what I really look forward to!? My Aunt Sylvia can bake pies like no one’s business. She makes so many different pies for Easter! Oh, my goodness! From fruit pies to coconut cream, peanut butter and even sometimes butterscotch. I typically try to get a small slice after lunch, then for dinner we make sandwiches. Sandwich and another sliver of pie? Yes please!! I just can’t wait to be with family. It has been so long since we have all been together. What a celebration it will be! Ham, pie, family and celebrating our Lord because he has risen!

And if you said that little prayer above in your heart, I am so happy for you! God does some pretty incredible things in my life, and I know he will yours. God bless!

This pie couldn’t be any more simple and tastes like you spent hours making it.
