Brand New Year

Brand New Year

Here we are ringing in 2020 already. Where on earth does the time go? I don’t know why, but I have this feeling it’s going to be a big year. 2020, I mean just the sound of it makes me feel like it means business.

The best part is I am going to be an Aunt again here in June! My brother and his wife are expecting their second child, and we are all so excited! Nothing like a new baby in the family!

The new year will also bring me some new job opportunites I was offered, which I am very excited about! Being able to write for the Webb has given me a new path I never knew I could have. I mean, Andrea’s Country Home Cookin is out there for sure. All over the internet, in reaching almost 4,000 folks’ kitchens, with my cookbook all over the world, and 213,000+ fans on Facebook. Now followers on ACHC Instagram and YouTube! Yes, I said YouTube! You can now watch me on YouTube and subscribe to my channel “Andrea’s Country Home Cookin.” We have posted about eight videos with a total of 1,500 views in a little over a month ago. Making cooking shows for you all is my dream.

Seriously, “The Pioneer Woman” — Ree Drommond — is my favorite show. I could sit and watch her all day long. She is my idol! Our cooking style is so similar. She loves to cook for her family, and lives on a ranch in the middle of nowhere. My dream is to meet her some day, or at least see her store in Pawahutaska, OK. I always say, we are best friends, she just don’t know it yet! Anyone out there got pull with the Food Network Channel or know her personally!? Remember me, hahaha!!

I’ve always said, even having my own little show on WVIA would suffice for this small hometown girl. But hey, I’ll take making homemade videos on YouTube that people are enjoying watching, and I am helping them bring homemade meals to their table. That’s what I am about guys, bringing family around the table with delicious food after busy days. Family time is so important! That time is special in these busy lives we lead. I want to thank Jim Webb for giving me this amazing opportunity, and for all of you who read, watch, and have bought my cookbook at the Rust in Shine in Willliamsport or over the past years. 2019 was a pretty awesome year, and I’m ready to see what the year 2020 has in store for me. Wishing you all a wonderful new year, too!

I’m gonna start you all off with a delicious high in fat appetizer that is perfect for any New Years Party! I mean, you can’t go wrong with pig wrapped in more pig. Enjoy!!

Brown Sugar Glazed Bacon Wrapped Sausages

• 1 package (16 Oz. Size) Little Smokies Sausages
• 1 pound Bacon Strips
• 1 cup Brown Sugar, For Sprinkling

Preheat oven to 400ºF.

Cut bacon slices in half and wrap each smokie with a half strip of bacon. Place all the wrapped smokies in a single layer in a baking dish, or rimmed sheet pan. Take some brown sugar and sprinkle evenly over the smokies. Bake for about 20–30 minutes or until bacon is nice and crisp (bake times will vary).

These babies won’t last long, and don’t count on leftovers.
