$400,000 Worth of Insults

The fleecing of American taxpayers never seems to end. Just when you think you’ve seen it all, something more pungent comes to light. I haven’t talked about Obamacare lately and was happier for not doing so. President Obama’s grand plan of national healthcare and providing health insurance for all was a farce from the word go.

I knew from the beginning and have stated it was the worst thing that could happen to the healthcare industry and those employers trying to provide health insurance without a ridiculous copay.

Nothing good ever comes out of government involvement in anything, let alone something as important and complicated as health care.

It is a big money industry and none of us should have been surprised President Obama and his liberal friends couldn’t keep their hands out of it.

You really didn’t believe their concern for the uninsured and underinsured was the real reason for Obamacare? Follow the money trail and you will always find the answer. The answer is always about greed and power.

We all knew American taxpayers would pay the bill for those who were not insured to receive an affordable policy. President Obama denied this. Where would the money come from and how do Obamanomics work? A giant spotlight was shining on the answer to that question this past week.

President Obama hired Jonathan Gruber to be the architect of his grand healthcare plan. Gruber was the designer of the system implemented under John Kerry in Massachusetts. The fleecing of the good folks in the Kennedy state went so well, the President knew he had the right man for the Obamacare job. In the name of “good health” he had a plan on how to get his hands on some of the healthcare cash and look as if he cared about the people in doing so.

So Mr. Gruber went to work to the tune of $400,000 tax payer dollars to make sure Obamacare would not die on the table or in Congress either.

Mr. Gruber did just that for the President. He drew it up, talked it up and with the support of his liberal friend in Washington, got it through Congress. Who can forget Nancy Pelosi’s statement? Just pass it through, we will find out what’s in there later.

Obamacare is probably the worst piece of legislation in American history, and that’s saying something.

To further rub salt in the wound Mr. Gruber’s mouth has been running like a fox in a forest fire. His arrogance and elitist ramblings are even hard for me to believe. Even the good President knows better than to kiss and tell. Mr. Gruber does not. He has gone on record stating the brilliance of his scheme to deceive the American people. Explaining it by calling the people paying the bills stupid and not smart enough to figure out his economic tom foolery.

Tapes first surfaced of Gruber’s boasting and proud explanation of his creation from 2012. Gruber quickly apologized saying he misspoke and his lecture was taken out of context. Just one problem Mr. Gruber, more video of the same message keeps showing up from different lectures over the past couple of years.

“I proposed it and that passed because the American people are too stupid to understand the difference.” Gruber said in a recently uncovered video. This was in reference to the “Cadillac Tax” which he designed to tax insurance companies instead of policy holders. This smoke and mirrors approach is to hide the actual cost to the individuals.

This made Obamacare an easy sell for the liberals in Congress because the general public would not see a tax increase. The increase would be charged to the insurance companies who would then pass it on to the policyholders hiding the actual cost. Clever isn’t he?

Gruber also took credit for advising President Obama to “maintain a lack of transparency.” “Basically call it the stupidity of the American voter or whatever, but that was really, really critical for the thing to pass.” He knew if the truth was revealed it had no chance. He claims to have also advised President Obama to use “If you like your healthcare plan and your doctor you can keep it.” knowing full well this was a lie.

For this “We the People” paid $400,000 and will continue to get a colonoscopy until the Unaffordable Healthcare Act is amended or ended.

Gruber, a professor of economics at MIT and Harvard grad, is an example of everything that is wrong in our country all wrapped up in one person.

His greed, deception and liberal elitist beliefs allow him to justify the means to his end. He knows more than you and I and believes our government’s involvement and manipulation is necessary for the good of people. In other words, you and I aren’t smart enough for democracy. So let’s use socialism no one will figure it out. If he didn’t have his current gig at MIT, he’d make a great candidate for the liberal left to replace President Obama.

President Obama needs to be held accountable for Mr. Gruber. His arrogant video library provides the proof of their true intentions.

Mr. Boehner and Mr. McConnell should jump all over this in the House and Senate. You have the “smoking Gruber” now take action. First, end Obamacare as we know it. Next, prosecute all involved in this fraudulent scheme to deceive the American people. And last but not least, make Mr. Gruber reimburse the “stupid American voter” $400,001, the one dollar to prove his accountability to the American people.

God Bless America.
