Ronald E. “Ron” Morehart, 72 of Watsontown, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on Sunday, May 5, 2024 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born January 22, 1952 in Williamsport, he was the son of the late Leonard, Sr. and Anna (Hamilton) Morehart. On June 2, 1973 he married the former Sally A. Snyder and together they have celebrated 50 years of marriage.

Ron was a 1971 graduate of Montgomery High School. He worked at Grumman’s until there closing, then working at Leer, Norka, and later Mohawk Flush Doors, where he retired.

He loved going bowling, camping and playing bingo. Most of all, Ron cherished all the time spent with his family and friends.

In addition to his wife, Sally, he is survived by two daughters: Amy J. Craig and her husband Bruce, of Allenwood, and Stacy M. Gridley and her husband Jerry, of Hughesville; two brothers: Leonard Morehart Jr. and his wife Shelia, of Muncy, and David Morehart and his wife Denise, of Watsontown; two sisters: Judy Schaeffer, of Muncy and Mary Harding and her husband Steve, of Montgomery; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his brother, Jim Morehart and sister, June Moser.

Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 11 AM to 12 PM, on Thursday, May 9, at Brooks Funeral Home & Cremation Svc PC, 124 Main Street, Watsontown, where a funeral service will be held at noon, with Pastor Ron Stahl, officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy.
