Robert E. “Bob” Eberlin, 85

Robert E. “Bob” Eberlin, 85, of Hughesville, died Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at his home.

Born March 2, 1941, in Wilkes Barre, he was a son of the late Willard Eberlin and Sarah “Sally” (Przychodzien) Eberlin. Bob was a proud graduate of Sullivan Highland High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1959 to 1962, demonstrating his dedication to his country. After his service, Bob went on to enjoy a fulfilling over 30-year career as a laborer at the former Lonza, Inc., Williamsport.

Bob and his wife, Bonnie (Puderbach) Eberlin, shared a wonderful life together and celebrated nineteen years of marriage on March 29th of this year.

For Bob, a perfect day was simple: a breath of fresh outdoor air, a circle comprised of good food and even better people, a steady stream of laughter, and his family right at the heart of it all. He walked through life with an open heart and an infectious joy, reminding us all not to take things too seriously, except for the people we love. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who was an avid outdoorsman. Bob loved hunting, fishing, woodworking, and music. He was known to be quite the cook and grill master. Bob also loved to unwind with a cold one, playing Solitaire while listening to his favorite music. He was a member of the North Mountain Sportsman Association and the American Legion Post 601 in Sonestown, where he made many friends and cherished memories.

Bob is survived by his wife, Bonnie Eberlin, of Hughesville; daughters, Pamela (Timothy) Miller of Millersburg, Denise Franki of Clermont, FL, Margaret (Drew) Eberlin of Tryon, NC, and Suzie Eberlin of Salisbury, NC; step-daughter Teresa (Dave) Mosier, Picture Rocks, Herbie Bloxsom Jr, Rochester; thirteen grandchildren: Taylor, Hadley, Maddie, Quinlyn, Olivia, Natalie, Dorothy Jane, Roderick, Kristen, Travis, Sierra, Brittany, Kayla; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Karen (Dave) Bobb of Muncy Valley; nephew, Rodney Smith of Muncy; nieces, Kristina Bobb of Stillwater and Kendra (Rodney) Rohe of Muncy Valley.
