Philip L. Ulmer, Sr., 78

Philip L. Ulmer, Sr., 78, of Linden, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at the Gatehouse at Divine Providence Hospital. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Lois I. (Quigel) Ulmer, whom he married June 20, 1968.

Born March 26, 1948, in Williamsport, he was a son of the late Leon W. and Martha V. (Young) Ulmer.

Philip was a 1966 graduate of Jersey Shore High School and went on to be a dedicated dairy farmer. He was a proud member of Anthony Baptist Church, always putting his love for God above all else.

A member of the High Rock Hunting Club since 1966, Philip found great enjoyment in the fellowship, traditions, and time spent outdoors. He was also a former member of the Lycoming County Farmers Association. Philip loved spending time with those he cared about and found happiness in his family, his church, and his work.

Those who knew Philip knew that he approached every task with determination and he could always be counted on to lend a helping hand when it was needed. He will be fondly remembered for his positivity as well as his commitment to his three loves in life, “Faith, Family, and Farming.”

In addition to his wife, Philip is survived by four children, Lynette M. Aunkst (Carl), of Williamsport, Philip L. Ulmer, Jr. (Tracy), Crystal R. Hartsock (John), all of Linden, and Curtis W. Ulmer (Lindsey), of Loyalsock; ten grandchildren, Zach Ulmer (Sarah), Justin Ulmer (Moriah), Jessica Steinbacher (Zach), Cody Ulmer (Kierra), Jordan Aunkst, Noah Ulmer (Hannah), Kerrigan Hartsock, Tyler Hartsock, Clark Ulmer, and Cambry Ulmer; ten great-grandchildren; and two siblings, Seth Ulmer (Arlene), and Debra Bixler.

Along with his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Carol Ann Metzler and a brother-in-law, David K. Bixler.

A memorial service to honor Philip’s life will be held privately at the convenience of his family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Philip’s name to Anthony Baptist Church, 4750 Quenshukeny Rd, Jersey Shore, PA 17740.
