Peggy Ann (Kimport) Kurtz, 80, of Jersey Shore, PA, passed away on August 8, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Born December 8, 1945, in Bellefonte, PA, she was the daughter of Hazel K. (Dunkleberger) and John A. Kimport.

Peggy was a 1963 graduate of Jersey Shore High School. On August 6, 1972, she married the love of her life, Gordon M. Kurtz. Just two days before her passing, they celebrated 54 years of marriage – a partnership marked by devotion, humor, and unwavering support.

Peggy is survived by her husband Gordon; daughter Jennifer Kurtz; son Eric Kurtz; her sister Alice (Fred) Hauser; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, John E. Kimport.

Peggy spent her early career as a beautician before dedicating herself to raising her children and creating a warm, welcoming home. She will be remembered for her kindness, her gentle spirit, and the deep love she held for her family.

Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, August 14, at McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 733 Broad Street Montoursville, with Rev. Richard N. Robinson Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Kurtz Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

The family will provide the flowers and suggest memorial contributions to Larryville United Methodist Church, 315 Larryville Rd, Jersey Shore, PA 17740.
