Patricia Divel Kahler, 94

Patricia Divel Kahler, 94, of Muncy, died Wednesday, April 24, 2024 with her son and daughter-in-law by her side.

Born May 13, 1929 in Williamsport,she was a daughter of the late Leo J. and Georgianna (Liddic) Divel. On February 16, 1952 she married Charles A. Kahler, who preceded her in death August 23, 1997. Together they celebrated 45 years of marriage.

Pat was a 1947 graduate of St. Mary’s High School and formerly attended St. Boniface Catholic Church, Williamsport. After high school, she worked as a secretary at an engineering firm in Williamsport and later worked at LL Stearns, where she modeled clothes in fashion shows. After marrying Charles, Pat became a homemaker and raised her three children.

Pat took pride in being one of the first members of the Church of the Resurrection, Muncy, where she served on many committees at the church over her 70 years of attending.

She volunteered at the YMCA, Williamsport in the swimming program for children with special needs. Pat enjoyed being a member of the Muncy Garden Club. She loved sewing, gardening and especially enjoyed going to the mall with friends.

Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Debbie Kahler, of Pennsdale; eight grandchildren, Eric, Samantha, Carmen, Craig, Lenny, JoAnn, Samuel and Mary; and eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Phyllis Kahler Snyder; a son, Dan C. Kahler; two sisters, Shirley A. Dock and Nancy E. Knecht; and one brother, Thomas L. Divel.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at Church of the Resurrection, 75 Musser Lane, Muncy, with Father Sean Carpenter, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Muncy Cemetery.

The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions in Patricia’s memory be made to Church of the Resurrection.

The family is being assisted by Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy.
