Mary E. Young, 94, of Almond Street Commons, passed away at the Gatehouse on Saturday, August 8, 2026.

Born on December 3, 1931 in Eldred Twp., PA, the daughter of William Fred and Ella (Leonard) Young.

Mary was a domestic worker until her retirement, a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. Mary was compassionate to family and friends.

Surviving are a daughter, Barbara Ann Green of Calif.; three grandchildren, Renee Nau, Amy Nau and Gary R. Steis.

In addition to her parents, a daughter, Connie L. Steis; brothers, Eugene Young and Raymond; step-brother Charles Young and step-sister Rachael Reeder all preceded her in death.

In keeping with Mary’s wishes there will be no viewing or funeral.
