Mary Ann Stitzer, 92

Mary Ann Stitzer, 92, of Fairfield Township, passed away on October 11, 2021 at her residence.

She was born September 21, 1929 in Williamsport, daughter of the late James and Freda (Weinhardt) Mosteller.

Mary graduated from South Williamsport High School as Valedictorian, class of 1947, and Jefferson Hospital School, class of 1950. She worked as an R.N. at the former Williamsport Hospital, then worked for William D. Angle, M.D., Williamsport as an office and surgical R.N. She was a life-long member of Messiah Lutheran Church; Felicitas Chapter #500, O.E.S., Williamsport Concert Board, and Baldwin Commandery #22 Auxiliary.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl L. Stitzer; two brothers, James and Karl Mosteller.

She is survived by three children, Sharon M. (Dan) Berkebile, of Johnstown; Gail E. (Chris) Tucker, Of Colorado Springs, Co; and Scott A. (Lori) Stitzer, of Danville; six grandchildren, Laura (Keith) Hower, Jennifer Berkebile (Erik Schmalz), Joshua (Alyse) Tucker, Jason Tucker, and Caleb and Bethany Stitzer; and one step-great-grandchild, Rylee.

There will be a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad Street, Montoursville, followed by an entombment at Twin Hills Memorial Park. There will be a viewing for family and friends on Tuesday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Messiah Lutheran Church, 324 South Howard Street, South Williamsport, Pa 17702.
