Kathy Ann Stauffer, 69, of Muncy, died Monday, July 27, 2026, at her home.

Born October 17, 1956, in Muncy, she was a daughter of the late Warren and Orrel

(Temple) Rider.

Kathy was a graduate of Muncy High School, Class of 1974. Following her graduation,

Kathy began a lifelong career with the former Muncy Bank & Trust Company, Muncy.

She retired in November of 2021, after 38 years of dedicated service.

A member of Moreland Baptist Church, Kathy also enjoyed gardening, reading, card

making, and going to the cabin. However, her greatest joy was attending her grandson

Noah’s sporting events and cheering him on.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Harvey Stauffer Jr.; three daughters, Sara

Dodson of N.C., Casi (Jesse) Confer of Muncy, and Yashira (Jared) Houseknecht of

Hughesville; two grandchildren, Noah Confer and Isabella Houseknecht; a brother,

Wayne (Ann) Rider of Hughesville; and a sister, Nancy (Bill) Jones of Montoursville.

In addition to her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Rider, and a

sister, Faye Konkle.

The family will hold a Celebration of Life on Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 1 to 4 p.m.

at Moreland Baptist Church, 118 Moreland Baptist Rd., Muncy. The family will provide

the flowers and suggest memorial contributions to a charity of choice in memory of

Kathy.
