John “Jack” Robert Spotts, 87

John “Jack” Robert Spotts, 87, of Hughesville left the earth peacefully on May 17, 2024.

Born May 10, 1937, Jack was the oldest of three sons of the late Robert and Eleanor Spotts. Jack was a graduate of Williamsport High School 1955 and went on to honorably serve his country in United States Navy for four years. After a few positions, Jack settled in at KBF Print Technology with a career in sales and telling jokes for 47 years.

Surviving are his children Terri (Larry) Sheats of Loganton, John Spotts of Norwich, NY, Daniel (Kim) Spotts of Salisbury, MD, Stephanie Spotts (Ken) of Dallas, GA, Dana (Sharon) Spotts of Dallas, GA , BJ (Janee) Smith of Hughesville; nine grandchildren; brothers, Victor (Esther) Spotts, of Trout Run, and Dan Spotts of Williamsport.

After three months of battling different illness’s, he was reunited with the “Love of his life” Elizabeth (Beth) Spotts. Prior to Beth’s passing in 2009, they spent 19 years of friendship and love that many can only dream about.

There were very few places that Jack would walk into without seeing a friend or at least someone he knew. One thing is for sure, when you were headed towards the door, many people would hear him ask his famous question,”is that your wallet?”

Jack enjoyed life every day whether it was at home, visiting family, or on the golf course, yearly family trips to the beach, and coaching little league. He made the best of every day! Even throughout his battle the past few months, never once was he negative! At the end he told us, “I’m ready to go, I’m ready to be with Beth, you don’t need to cry”.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 E. Water St., Hughesville. A memorial service and burial will follow at a later date at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests Memorial contributions to the Jack and Beth Spotts Memorial Award C/O Robert Smith 49 Blue Sky Drive, Hughesville, PA 17737.
