Jeffrey R. “Jeff” Thomas, 67, of Williamsport, passed away Thursday, December 11, 2025 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

He was married to the former Elaine (Harris), who survives, and they have shared 22 years of marriage.

Jeff was born on January 2, 1958 in Newark, New Jersey and was the son of the late Brody Elihu and Pauline (Clark) Thomas. He graduated from Central High School in Newark and had worked at Any Event and Miele. Jeff was a member of the Christ Community Worship Center where he was a dedicated servant and mentor. He enjoyed playing chess, fishing, boating, bowling, his fish tank and his cat “Amos”. Most of all, he enjoyed being grandfather to 12 grandchildren.

In addition to his wife Elaine, he is survived by two sons; Ishmil Harris and Sha-had Harris, both of Williamsport, one daughter; Sakeenah Williams of Georgia, 12 grandchildren, three sisters; Charlotte Thomas of Williamsport and Rosalind Thomas and Denise Thomas, both of Newark, NJ and aunt; Gerilyn Johnson of NC. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers; Gregory, Kevin and Dwayne Thomas and one sister; Marlina Thomas.

There will be a public viewing 9 – 10 a.m. Saturday, December 20, 2025 at the Christ Community Worship Center, 436 West Fourth St., Williamsport where the Celebration of Life Service will begin at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Marwin C. Reeves, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery.
