Harry “Duffy” Butler

Harry “Duffy” Butler

On May 31, 2026, Harry “Duffy” Butler, son of Thomas and Marie Butler, of Mill Hall, Pennsylvania, took his first steps into heaven after passing peacefully in his home surrounded by the love of his family. (I Thessalonians 4:13-18)

Duffy lived a life marked by faith, dedication to family, hard work, and service to his community.

Duffy was well known throughout the community and remained proud of his roots in central Pennsylvania. He spent many years working at Hammermill Paper Company, where he was respected for his strong work ethic and reliability. In addition to his work at Hammermill, Duffy was widely known throughout Clinton County and the surrounding areas as a skilled farrier, helping care for horses and serving many local families over the years.

A devoted man of faith, Duffy attended First Baptist Church of Lock Haven, where he faithfully served as a deacon. His quiet strength, kindness, and willingness to help others left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Duffy is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy (Watkins) Butler; his daughters, Leslie (Butler) Felmlee and Ilene (Butler) Tillman; his grandchildren, Duffy Felmlee, Lydia (Felmlee) Shafer, Daniel Tillman, and Brittany Tillman; and his great-grandchildren, Alyson Tillman and Noah Tillman.

He will be remembered for his devotion to God, his work ethic, and the many lives he touched throughout his years in Clinton County. His legacy of kindness, service, and dedication will continue through the family and friends who loved him.

The family invites all who knew and loved him to join them for a graveside ceremony celebrating his life on Thursday, June 4, 2026 at 12 Noon at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 1194 Mackeyville Rd, Mill Hall, PA.  Friends and family will be received at the cemetery from 11 AM until the time of the service.

To honor Duffy’s life and faith, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church, 210 N. Vesper St., Lock Haven, PA 17745, in lieu of flowers.

Arrangements are under the direction of Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, 231 High St., Flemington.
