Harland “Eddie” Temple, 87

Harland “Eddie” Temple, 87

Harland “Eddie” Temple, 87 of Muncy, passed away Thursday, October 29, 2026, at his home. Born December 28, 1938, in Ephrata, PA, he was the son of Wilbur M. Temple and Viola P. (Kapp) Temple. Harland married Hazel E. Spurr on April 18, 1968, and together they shared 58 years of marriage filled with love, happiness, and many memories.

Harland was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who grew up living on a farm in Hughesville with his parents and brother, Glenn. He worked for JK Rishels, and as an independent truck driver, amongst many other small jobs for anyone who needed help.

In his spare time, Harland had a passion for woodworking. He enjoyed looking through woodworking magazines and challenged himself by building beautiful wood projects for him and his family to enjoy. Harland also liked to spend time telling his family about stories, and adventures of his past.

He liked to do many things throughout his life, such as going on road trips, collecting model trains, watching old TV shows, such as Star Trek and Mash, as well as spending time listening to music channels. In his later years, he found relaxation in word search puzzles.

Harland is survived by his wife Hazel E. Temple; sons, Chris L. (Sherry), Spurr, of Montgomery, Michael S. (Jennifer L.) Temple, of Harrisburg; grandchildren, Jonathan C. Spurr, Isabella D. Spurr; great-grandchildren, McKinley W. Spurr, Myles C. Spurr; sister, Arlene R. Burkey, of Christiana.

In addition to his parents, a brother, Glenn M. Temple, preceded Harland in death.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

Services have been entrusted to McCarty~Thomas Funeral Home, Montoursville.
