Francis J. Franek, 90, better known as Frank or Pappy, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2024. He married Amelia Bonfiglio in 1955 and remained married for 62 years until her death in February 2017. Frank was born in Clarence, PA on July 6, 1933, and was the son of Joseph and Agnes Franek.

Frank was a warm and loving father devoted to his wife and family. As a young man he served in the Army during the Korean War. He was known for his hard work, determination and honesty. At the age of 36 he created his own company, Franek Home Builders. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and spending time with family, making lengthy trips to visit them.

He is survived by his children, Andrea Camp (Randall), Lynne Franek-Costet and children Jonathan and Julia Anne, Frank Franek (Angie) and son Thomas, Tina Leon and daughters, Katherine Stewart (Ryan) and Elizabeth Hutto, Angela Franek-Tupper (Hollis) and daughter Emilie, and Rob Franek (Kathleen) and children Rachel and Adam. He is also blessed with two great granddaughters, Gianna and Kylee, children of Katherine and Ryan. Frank was predeceased by his brothers Joseph and Robert, and his sister Doris. He is also survived by his brothers John, Andrew, David and his sister Celia.

Frank was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Montoursville, PA. A Memorial Mass will be co-celebrated on May 11, 2024 at 12:00 pm at Queen of Archangels Roman Catholic Church, 102 Church Street, Clarence, PA, by Father Michael S. McCormick and Father Michael Wolfe.
