Elizabeth “Betty” A. Nau, 95, of Bastress Twp., passed at The Williamsport Home on May 7, 2024.

She was born on January 21, 1929, a daughter to the late Alphonse and Amelia (Engle) Bower.

Betty was a member of Immaculate Conception Church. She worked at Bro-Dart for 27 years before retiring in 1994. She enjoyed gardening, spending time with her family, friends, and beloved cat, Kitty. She enjoyed traveling with her family.

Her husband of 60 years, Eugene J. Nau Sr., passed April 21, 2011.

She is survived by their children, Cathy (Roger) Bachle of Muncy, Eugene J. (Joann) Nau Jr. of Jersey Shore, Lavern (Lorrie) Nau of Jersey Shore, Carol (Steve) Whitney of Cherry Hill, NJ, Edna (Bob) Wrightstone of Carlisle, Michael (Laurie) Nau of Jersey Shore, and Gary Nau of Williamsport; 12 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband Eugene and parents, Betty was preceded in death by her brothers, Norbert and Francis Bower; sisters, Sister Norberta Bower (Martina) of Sisters of Saint Joseph, Thelma Nau, Theresa Deitrick, Mary Haas, Sylvia Schon.

The family will receive friends and family at the Crouse Funeral Home, 133 E. Third St., Williamsport PA 17701 on Sunday, May 12, 2024 from 6:00-8:00pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 5973 Jacks Hollow Rd., Williamsport PA 17701 at 11:00am on Monday, May 13, 2024 with Rev. Burt Kozen officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial contributions in Betty’s name be made to the building fund at Immaculate Conception Church.
