Eleanor F. “Sue” Lorson, 98

Eleanor F. “Sue” Lorson, 98, of South Williamsport, died Monday, Feb. 19, 2018, at the Williamsport Home.

Born Feb. 5, 1920, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Lester and Helen (Staib) Fullmer.

Sue was a 1938 graduate of the former St. Mary’s High School. She retired in 1984 from GTE Sylvania, Halls Station, after 33 years.

She was a life member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She was also a life member of the Loyal Order of the Moose No. 145 and Elks Lodge No. 173, past president and member of the Elks Auxiliary, the SPCA, and the Thomas T. Taber Museum.

She enjoyed bowling, spending time at her river lot, and boating on the river. Sue was a talented photographer and loved taking trips to the beach in Atlantic City.

Surviving are a daughter, Susan L. Hartland (Robert), of Greensboro, Georgia; three grandchildren, Kevin Hartland (Michelle), of McKinney, Texas, Christopher Hartland (Julie), of Cary, North Carolina, and Robin Richardson (Bryan), of Denver, Colorado; six great-grandchildren, Lindsey, Brett, Noah, and Neleh Hartland and Ashley and Zachary Richardson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Lester Fullmer Jr. (Kathleen) and a sister, Helen L. Bower (David).

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Friday, February 23 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 800 W. Central Ave., South Williamsport, with the Rev. James Tracy officiating. A time of fellowship will follow the Memorial Mass in the fellowship hall. Interment will be held 1:30 p.m. Friday in Wildwood Cemetery.
