Donna Lee Wright, 85, of Dunnstown passed away Monday, May 21, 2018 at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College.

Born on September 28, 1932 in Seattle, Wa., she was the daughter of the late Howard and Nellie Taylor Wartman.

After graduating high school, Donna attended Whitman College in Walla Walla, Wa., where she graduated with her Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1954.

On May 31, 1954, she married the love of her life, Wendell H. Wright who preceded her in death in 2013.
Donna was employed by Keystone Central School District for 23 years, holding various positions including secretary for the Title I Program and Athletic Office, Athletic Coordinator and Business Office Administrative Assistant.

Donna was a member of the Dunnstown United Methodist Church.

She was also a member of the Pennsylvania Association of Educational Professionals, Eastern Star and the American Association of University Women through Lock Haven University.

Donna was active with both the Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts.

She enjoyed gardening, sewing, needlepoint, reading, and music as well as traveling.

Surviving are two children: Barbara L. (Gary) Simmerman of New Hampshire and Michael H. Ross (Scott Ross) of Connecticut; her granddaughter, Olivia Lee Simmerman; and her sister-in-law, Marilyn Wilson of Washington.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Edward Wilson.

A Memorial Service for Donna will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 3 P.M. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington with Rev. Alan Eckenroad officiating.

Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Saturday from 1 P.M. until the time of the service.
