Donald R. Moser, 96

Donald R. Moser, 96, of Turbotville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 25, 2026 at WellSpan Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.

Born October 18, 1929 in Lewis Twp., he was a son of the late John H. and Ellen E. (Ellis) Moser.  On November 27, 1953, he married the former Evelyn V. Kelly, and together they celebrated 67 years of marriage until her passing on May 6, 2021.

Don was a 1948 graduate of Turbotville High School and was a farmer his whole life.  He also worked and retired from American Home Foods.  Don served his country honorably in the US Army, being stationed in Germany from 1954-1956.

He was a life member of the Milton Moose Lodge 171, West End Social Hall, and Glen Iron Fire Company.  Don was also a life member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Turbotville, where he was a past deacon and served on consistory.  He enjoyed going hunting, fishing, and bowling in the Turbotville League.

Don is survived by a son: David R. Moser and his wife Mitzi, of Mifflinburg; four grandchildren: Sheena (Matt Murray) Irvine, Joshua (Kaylee) Moser, Andrew Moser, and Jeremy (Elise) Moser; and four great-grandchildren: Dixie Rose Irvine, Lola, Kynslee, and Lee Moser.

Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son: Wayne A. Moser; five brothers: Harold Larue, Henry Lee, Marvin E., William K., and John R. Moser and six sisters: Betty Hopewell, Hanna Raup, Sadie Bieber, Kathryn Cotner, Miriam O’Conner, and Henrietta Fry.

There will be a visitation held Friday, January 30, 2026 from noon to 1:00 PM at Brooks Funeral Home & Cremation Svc PC, 207 Broadway Street, Turbotville, where the funeral service will begin at 1:00 with his pastor, Rev. Doug Schader, officiating.  Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Turbotville Cemetery.  The family will provide flowers.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and entire support staff at WellSpan Evangelical Hospital in the ER and on the Third Floor Acute Care, for all of the loving care for Don.
