Donald F. Daniels, 92

Donald F. Daniels, 92, fell asleep in death at AristaCare at Loyalsock on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 and he will awaken at the future general resurrection to life on a cleansed earth.

He was born on October 13, 1926 in the Newberry section of Williamsport, PA, the son of the Late Felix P. and Sophie Daniels. He was proceeded in death by his brothers Theodore and Maurice (Dick) (Sylvia) Daniels.

Don attended the local schools and served in the US Navy in WW2 aboard the YMS 289 (minesweeper) and the US Reclaimer 42 (salvage and rescue ship) in the Pacific Theater. He was a charter member of the local Naval Reserve. Don had a few jobs in his lifetime but his favorites were Don Daniels Mobile Home Service, bartending at the former Ross Club and at the Community Arts Center. Don was a woodworker and built things for friends and Trinity Episcopal Church.

Don was married to Doris Stroud (deceased) and Karen Haney Daniels. He is survived by a daughter Paula Berry of Lock Haven and a son D. Mark (Jody) Daniels of Kittery, Maine.

At Don’s request there will be no services and his ashes will be entombed in the columbarium in the Chapel of Trinity Episcopal Church.
