Charles E. Snyder, Jr., 93, of Montoursville, passed away on June 18, 2020, at The Gatehouse.
He was born on April 14, 1927, in Williamsport, the son of the late Charles E. and Anna M. (Raker) Snyder, Sr.
Charles enjoyed working at English’s Model Railroad. He also enjoyed working security at Montoursville Area School District and Little League. He is a Navy World War II veteran where he served on a sub chaser. He was also a life member of Willing Hand Hose and Fire Co. #1. He enjoyed his train collection. Charles attended Community Baptist Church and was a follower of Jesus Christ.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, the former Marjorie M. Kehrer; son, Neil (Dawn) Snyder; twin daughters, Charlene Shuman and Michelle Long; six grandchildren; two step grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, and three step great-grandchildren.
There will be a visitation on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad Street, Montoursville. Following will be a private graveside service at 11:30 a.m., in Twin Hills Memorial Park with Rev. Greg Sanford officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Montoursville Fire Company, 721 Broad Street, Montoursville, PA 17754.
