Arnold A. Love, 88

Arnold A. Love, 88, a longtime resident of Muncy, died Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at Moosehaven, Orange Park, FL, where he resided for the past 10 years.

Born June 6, 1935 in Exchange, he was a son of the late James Arthur and Rita Belle (Kinney) Love. He married the former Mary Arthur, who preceded him in death March 8, 2013.

Arnold and his wife owned and operated Love’s Custom Beef Processing in Exchange for over 15 years. He also worked as a meat cutter for various stores in the area.

Arnold was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, Hughesville. He was a charter member and past treasurer of the Muncy Valley Moose Lodge #866, where he helped with the chicken BBQ for many years.

He enjoyed hunting and playing cards.

Surviving are a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Richard and Alice Arthur, of Muncy; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by a son, Donald K. Love on December 10, 2020; an infant brother, Monroe Love; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Evelyn and Raymond Thomas and Arwilda and James Shoemaker.

Burial will be with his wife and son at Moosehaven in Florida.

The family would like to thank the staff at both Moosehaven and the Community Hospice Palliative Care in Jacksonville, FL for their support and wonderful care Arnold received while a resident.
