Andrew L. “Andy” Eckman, 66, of Jersey Shore was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 after being a patient at UPMC Susquehanna, Williamsport.

Born in Kittanning on June 7, 1959, he was a son of Laird and Frances (Bush) Eckman.

Andy graduated from Kittanning High School.

In 1986, he married his best friend, the former Linda Corman, with whom he shared nearly 40 years of marriage.

Over the years, Andy was employed at Piper Aircraft, The Cable Company and most recently, West Pharmaceuticals.

He was dedicated member of Pine Creek Valley Christian Church, serving as an Elder.

Andy enjoyed writing songs as well as playing the guitar and singing for the Lord.

He loved spending time with his family- especially cherishing the time he spent with his son, Brandon, and the day trips he took with his wife, Linda.

Andy was always quick with a joke or a story to uplift those around him.

He leaves behind his wife, Linda Eckman; son, Brandon Eckman; mother, Frances Long; brothers, Herb Long and Clark (Gloria) Eckman; niece, Morgan Long; and nephews, Eric and Kurt Eckman.

In addition to his father, Laird Eckman, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Bob Long and step-sister, Darla Smith.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 2 PM at Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, PA 17745, with Pastor Ron Savits officiating.

Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Saturday, April 25, 2026 from 1 PM until the time of the service.

Memorial contributions in Andy’s name may be made to Pine Creek Valley Christian Church through the funeral home.
