Albert H. Fluman, III, 67

Albert H. Fluman, III, 67

I was born in Williamsport, Pennsylvania on May 28, 1959. I was the first son of Albert H Fluman II and Delores Finn Fluman and the grandson of Albert H Fluman and Nellie Mae Moore Fluman

My three siblings are amazing! Brandan Elliott Fluman (Karen) of St. Augustine, Florida; Amy Fluman Rettig (Jeff) of St. Petersburg, Florida; and Eric Arland “Rick” Fluman (Anita) of Lakeland Florida (my brother Rick died in 2023). For the record, my older brother Lamont never existed, my sister Amy was not adopted and Hampy “resides” in the hearts of all of us.

My two sons are simply the best. Albert H Fluman IV (Renee) of Millmont, Pennsylvania and Harrison Elliott Fluman (Breein) of Ogden, Utah. In their own way, they both understand the importance of being a “Fluman”.

My three grandchildren will miss their Poppy tremendously. I love them! You will not find three more intelligent, brilliant, enthusiastic, and kind young adults in the world; Aubrey Hannah Fluman (AHF5) and Amelia Hope Fluman (AHF6) of Millmont, Pennsylvania; and Leo Elliott Fluman of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.

I am only leaving the love of my life and best friend, Kristin Louise Fluman for now; we spent 46 years together; she was at my side through our joyous life together and was my “rock” during times of trial and tribulation. One day we will be together again to share our thoughts and walk side by side in the forests of heaven.

I worked nearly 40 years in various capacities for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). I truly enjoyed my work; although I probably worked too long and hard, missing some important family time over the years. I am a proud Swiss American, wishing I could have spent more time in my Homeland; everyone should visit Brienz, Brienzwiler, Meiringen, Lauterbrunnen and Murren. I was blessed with a wonderful extended family: Kaler’s, Martin’s, Wingfield’s, Lon Fluman’s, Romig’s, Sechrist’s, Krueger’s, Will Fluman’s, Pinciotti’s, Medeiros’ and Foucart’s.

I was just trying to leave something behind …. I think I did. The last song has been played, as I look back … I sure had a beautiful time. And finally, I have seen my last tomorrow. I am standing on the mountain; I can hear the angel’s song, take my hand … Lord, lead me home.

Keep your eye on the cross. Jesus is the answer.

In lieu of flowers or donations; find a trail somewhere in Pennsylvania and hike a few miles with me.

Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 18, at New Life Orthodox Presbyterian Church, 1500 Hidden Valley Drive Montoursville, with Albert’s pastor Rev. John Van Meerbeke officiating. Burial will follow at Montoursville Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral luncheon following the burial at Montoursville Cemetery.
