What: Take a virtual photo tour of the bygone lumber town of Ricketts right from your home. Historical and present photos will be shown. Program will be presented using Microsoft Teams. Registration required by emailing Rhiannon Summers at rhsummers@pa.gov or calling 570-477-7780.

Bygone Town of Ricketts Tour
What: Discover where the lumber town of Ricketts used to stand and learn some history along the way. Good boots are recommended for walking. Please bring your own bug spray. This area has ticks. We will meet at the Visitor Center, and then we will drive out to the site. You must bring a mask to attend this program! What: Have you noticed the feathered frenzy lately? Spring is the time to welcome back all of our migrating birds. We will drive to various points around Ricketts Glen to look for waterfowl and other water birds visiting Lake Jean on their migration. Good boots are recommended for walking. Please bring your own bug spray, field guide, and binoculars. You must bring a mask to attend this program! What: Spring gardening season is finally here. We hope you’re as excited as we are! Join us for a follow-up workshop that builds on everything you learned in the March session. Missed that one? No problem. You’ll still get lots of pro tips from this info-packed event. This time we’ll focus on the transplanting process. There’s a lot to think about when preparing those seedlings and successfully moving them into their final spot in your garden. We’ll rundown some common mistakes and offer expert advice so you can get it right the first time around. You’ll also learn lots of other planting tips like how to layout your garden and make the most of your space.
