Patriot Day Hike for Veterans
What: Hiking the Highland Trail and Bear Walk Trail to see F.L.Ricketts Falls. This is a 3.5-mile moderate hike. You must bring a mask to attend this program! Registration required by emailing rhsummers@pa.gov or calling 570-477-7780.
When: Friday, September 11 at 9:00-11:00 a.m.
Where: Park and meet at Beach Lot #2 by the bulletin board closest to the road in Ricketts Glen State Park.

Community Festival
What: Montgomery Lions Community Festival. Food, craft, and 6 bands. There will also be a 5k Walk/Run.
When: Saturday, September 12, 2020. Registration for 5k begins at 7:45 a.m. Walk/Run begins at 9:00 a.m. Festival runs from 1:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.
Where: 5k begins at Riverside Campground. Festival will be held at Montgomery Park.

Second Sunday Makers Market
What: Second Sunday Makers Market – food, artists, music, and family fun.
When: Sunday, September 13, 2020, from 11:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
Where: Up the Crick – Wine & Antiques, 5099 N. Route 44 Hwy. Jersey Shore.

Allegheny Airlines Flight 371 Crash Site Hike
What: December 1, 1959: Alleghany Airlines Flight 371 crashes into the north face of Bald Eagle mountain after a failed landing attempt at Williamsport Airport, killing 25 of the 26 on board. Join local historians and crash-site enthusiasts Shane Collins and Mark Avery on a very difficult hike to the crash site, which is an official archeological site protected by the State Historic & Museum Commission, to learn about what happened that fateful day and see the remains of the plane that still lie on the mountainside. What: The Susquehanna Valley Chapter of PA for Human Life will hold a public prayer vigil at the memorial site “In Memory of all Victims of Abortion” on the annual National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children, calling on pro-life Americans to honor the gravesites of our aborted brothers and sisters, first held in September 2013, on the 25th anniversary of the solemn burial of the earthly remains of some 1,500 abortion victims in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Over 100 memorial services were held across the United States. By participating in the National Day of Remembrance, visiting these solemn memorial places at other times of the year, and spreading the word about this prayer campaign, you are helping to humanize our aborted brothers and sisters and deepening your own commitment to ending the injustice of abortion.
