Trout Stream Habitat Restoration Presentation by PA Bureau of Forestry
What: Susquehanna Chapter of Trout Unlimited will be featuring a special presentation by Nathan Reagle of the PA Bureau of Forestry on improving habitat for wild trout in the headwater streams of Pennsylvania by employing techniques such as selective use of large woody material placement in streams which have been found to have ecological and conservation benefits by increasing shelter and food habitat for trout and helping to reduce bank erosion. Ongoing and potential projects to utilize these practices in our area streams will be discussed, as well as how sportsmen groups and conservation organizations can get involved in support of stream restoration efforts. Toy Train Expo
What: The 28th Annual Will Huffman Toy Train Expo chugs back into town featuring dozens of working train layouts of all scales and size. Kids will enjoy the locomotive races and can meet Santa and Mrs. Claus, the Conductor, and Scrooge. Additional operating layouts will be featured at the nearby Thomas T. Taber Museum, which also houses the famous Shempp Model Train Collection. Self-guided tours of a fully restored 1949 Pullman “Colonial Series” parlor train car will be offered at the adjacent Peter Herdic Transportation Museum. The Expo is the area’s premier family event and is held in conjunction with Victorian Christmas. It is “a gift for the community for children of all ages.” Stop by and help us “celebrate the magic and nostalgia of toy trains.” Children are admitted FREE and adults for $2 donation. Christian Motorcyclists Association
What: Local CMA meeting (Christian Motorcyclists Association), an international organization founded by one man in 1975. CMA’s main mission is to bikers, to reveal the love of Jesus and to be a servant in any way we can. We also support Missionary Ventures, Open Doors, and the Jesus Film Project. Through Missionary Ventures we distributed bicycles, motorcycles, horses, boats, 3 horse & buggies, 2 snowmobiles, and 1 camel. Through Open Doors, 2.6 million Bibles, and via the Jesus Film Project over 119 million people have viewed the life of Christ in their own heart language. The results are phenomenal!

Trout Stream Habitat Restoration Presentation by PA Bureau of Forestry
What: Susquehanna Chapter of Trout Unlimited will be featuring a special presentation by Nathan Reagle of the PA Bureau of Forestry on improving habitat for wild trout in the headwater streams of Pennsylvania by employing techniques such as selective use of large woody material placement in streams which have been found to have ecological and conservation benefits by increasing shelter and food habitat for trout and helping to reduce bank erosion. Ongoing and potential projects to utilize these practices in our area streams will be discussed, as well as how sportsmen groups and conservation organizations can get involved in support of stream restoration efforts.
