Recyclable metals will go in Hinston’s Dumpster. 2026 we will take car & truck tires at a cost of $5.00 each to those that bring them. NO farm tractor tire or tractor trailer tires will be accepted. Audubon Event: Broad-winged Hawk Project / Chapter Meeting
What: We welcome you to join us for a presentation from Rebecca McCabe, a Research Biologist at Hawk Mountain Sanctuary. Her research focuses broadly on movement and nesting ecology, and she is involved in numerous long-term studies including broad-winged hawks, snowy owls, and American kestrels. We will learn about the Hawk Mountain Sanctuary’s efforts to study the fall annual cycle to better understand the threats and conservation needs for this long-distance migration.

What: Join the park naturalist to learn more about the “Coyotes of PA.” Topics will include adaptations, diet, and a brief overview of the natural history of the Eastern Coyote within PA. This is designed to be an informal program. All children must be accompanied by an adult to participate. Program may be modified or cancelled in the event of severe weather or new state or community guidelines. Meet by the pool.

Chicken BBQ
What: South Williamsport Lions Club Chicken BBQ and bake sale. The South Williamsport Lions Club will host a Chicken BBQ. Dinners contain chicken, baked potato, roll, and dessert. There will also be a bake sale on site. Dinners cost $13.00, and tickets can be purchased from any Lions Club member.

Genealogy Research
What: Genealogy Research with S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Nancy McCurdy will present “Genealogy Research with S.U.C.C.E.S.S.”, which covers research pitfalls, search hints, helpful genealogy forms, sources, and more. Open to the public.

History Mystery
What: Can you identify the mystery items the park naturalist has assembled? As our nation looks forward to its 250th birthday, let’s take a look backwards in time. Were these items used in a homesteader’s cabin, or maybe on an early farm? Take a guess and then learn a little about each one. Audubon Event: First Friday Bird Photography Exhibit
What: A spectacular viewing of bird photographs will be on view this upcoming First Friday! Stop by the Herdic House for hors d’oeuvres and light beverages with your favorite local birding group. The exhibit includes Richard Allen’s bald eagle photographic collection alongside other local avian photographers.

Audubon Event: Therapy Brewing Bird Walk
What: We are delighted to partner with the folks at Therapy Brewing to offer a unique combination of outdoor enjoyment. We will gather in the parking area and join the property owners as we walk the paths through meadows and forest. This varied habitat suggests a variety of species to be found, including late spring warblers, meadow, and woodland birds. After our roughly 2 hour walk on moderate graded paths, we will gather for post-walk refreshment at the brewery.

Audubon Event: Broad-winged Hawk Project / Chapter Meeting
What: We welcome you to join us for a presentation from Rebecca McCabe, a Research Biologist at Hawk Mountain Sanctuary. Her research focuses broadly on movement and nesting ecology, and she is involved in numerous long-term studies including broad-winged hawks, snowy owls, and American kestrels. We will learn about the Hawk Mountain Sanctuary’s efforts to study the fall annual cycle to better understand the threats and conservation needs for this long-distance migration.

After our roughly 2 hour walk on moderate graded paths, we will gather for post-walk refreshment at the brewery.
