Audubon Event: Lime Bluff Recreation Area Bird Walk
What: At Lycoming Audubon’s suggestion, the East Lycoming Recreation Authority decided to leave large areas of Lime Bluff unmowed to provide habitat for birds. In addition to fields that attract raptors like Red-tailed Hawks and American Kestrels, there is plenty of edge habitat favored by a variety of songbirds. This is an easy walk along gravel and mowed paths- please join us!

Volunteer with Lycoming Audubon: Robert Porter Allen Natural Area
What: Lycoming Audubon has several volunteer workdays planned for Robert Porter Allen Natural Area (RPANA). This fall we are focusing on removing invasive plants and planting native trees and shrubs. Please bring your enthusiasm, work boots, work clothes! Light refreshments will be served. We will plant shrubs at the entrance to RPANA.

Audubon Event: Chapter Meeting
What: Join Lycoming Audubon Society for an evening featuring Ron Beach’s artwork, “Birds in Art”. His passion for the outdoors and 20 years of service with the Pennsylvania Game commission have more than a little influence on the subject matter he paints, capturing the attention of art collectors throughout the US. Many of his paintings have been published as limited-edition art prints, a number of which are sold out and on the secondary market. His art has graced the covers of magazines, calendars and greeting cards. Ron was twice selected “Arts of the Year” by Ducks Unlimited, and his art was selected as a sponsor print for the Ruffed Grouse Society. Ron’s work has raised thousands of dollars for many conservation efforts and non-profit organizations. His paintings are known for thoughtful composition, richly detailed landscapes, and accurately portrayed wildlife.

Audubon Event: Chapter Meeting
What: Join Lycoming Audubon Society for an evening featuring Ron Beach’s artwork, “Birds in Art”. His passion for the outdoors and 20 years of service with the Pennsylvania Game commission have more than a little influence on the subject matter he paints, capturing the attention of art collectors throughout the US. Many of his paintings have been published as limited-edition art prints, a number of which are sold out and on the secondary market. His art has graced the covers of magazines, calendars and greeting cards. Ron was twice selected “Arts of the Year” by Ducks Unlimited, and his art was selected as a sponsor print for the Ruffed Grouse Society. Ron’s work has raised thousands of dollars for many conservation efforts and non-profit organizations. His paintings are known for thoughtful composition, richly detailed landscapes, and accurately portrayed wildlife.

What: Williamsport Music Club presents Celtic Wood & Wires, Wendy McCormick, Jamie Chambers, Peggy Moorehart, Lauren Welshans & Melinda Sechrist.
When: Tuesday, October 28th, at 7 p.m.
Where: Pine Street UMC Sanctuary, 441 Pine St., Williamsport.

Comedy & Dinner
What: Dinner catered by The Food Guy Catering Co & live performance by comedian Randy Riggle presenting his Nostalgic Christmas Show. After dessert, guests will proceed to the Howard Theatre for the show. Tickets are $45 for dinner & show, $30 show only, and can be purchased by calling or stopping by the Scottish Rite.
When: Saturday, December 20th. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for guest seating.
Where: Historic Acacia Club at the Williamsport Scottish Rite, 348 Market St., Williamsport.

Country Line Dancing
What: Country line dancing.
When: Wednesdays from 7 p.m.-10 p.m.
Where: Woodward Township Fire Hall, Linden.

Ballroom Dance Classes
What: Beginning Ballroom Dance Class for anyone interested in learning to dance. Cost will be $10 per couple per class. To register please call Frank at 570-220-4806.
When: Thursday evenings from 6 p.m.-7:15 p.m.
Where: Classes will be held in Hartzel’s Dance Room in Montoursville.
