Happy Father’s Day…

Much like my Mother’s Day list, my Father’s Day list changes and flow and gets a few edits along the way, but I think it’s a pretty good list. So much like Dads usually appreciate, let’s not get too fussy (just a little fussy) and get on with it…

I told the moms on Mother’s Day, but to the Dads, if no one has told you lately — you’re doing an awesome job. The world is essentially on fire, and trying to navigate that while also parenting is…well, let’s just say, it’s hard out there for any parent, and you are absolutely doing the dang thing! Keep it up! You’ve got this! No really, I promise — it may not feel like it every day, but you’ve got this!

First and foremost, Happy Father’s Day to Steve. You are an amazing Dad and should be so proud of the Father you are. Kiddo and I (and Scout and Booker) love you and appreciate you so much!

As I said to the moms on Mother’s Day — parenthood ain’t easy, so Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads who keep their heads up and push through every day, doing the best that they can for their kids — especially when it ain’t easy.

Dads are often thought of a the ‘spare’ parent. But just know, you are making the world a better place and the future brighter by showing up for your kids day in and day out.
