The Valley of Williamsport PA Scottish Rite will turn up the volume this weekend with a special fundraising concert featuring LIVE WIRETM – The Ultimate AC/DC Experience on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 7 p.m.
The event promises to be an electrifying evening of classic rock while supporting the organization’s charitable programs and community initiatives.
Known nationwide for their authentic sound and high-energy performances, LIVE WIRETM delivers a concert experience that faithfully recreates the music and spirit of legendary rock icons AC/DC. Fans can expect powerful renditions of iconic hits such as “Back in Black,” “Highway to Hell,” “Thunderstruck,” and many more.
The concert will take place at the Williamsport Scottish Rite Auditorium, an 1,100-seat venue offering fans an exciting live music experience. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Williamsport Scottish Rite’s ongoing philanthropic efforts, including community outreach, charitable giving, and educational programs.
“We’re very excited that LIVE WIRETM partnered with us. LIVE WIRETM puts on an incredible show, and we’re thrilled to host them,” states Jack Becker, Event Committee Chair. “This concert is our main fundraising event for the year with 60% of the monies raised going to various local charitable organizations as well as supporting Scottish Rite charities such as children’s dyslexia centers, continuing undergraduate and graduate scholarships for young men and women from Scottish Rite families, and providing assistance to Masons and their families facing unexpected hardships.
“This concert is the first of many we hope to offer. Our goal is to continue bringing in a couple tribute bands each year mixed in with other entertainment acts, not only as fundraisers, but to showcase our auditorium — which is a hidden gem in downtown Williamsport that is being under-utilized — as a venue available to the community for bookings such as plays, conferences, recitals, etc.,” said Jack Becker. “For the past two years, the Valley of Williamsport Scottish Rite provided over $10,000 to charitable organizations such as American Rescue Workers, YWCA and Janet Weis Children’s Hospital. Our goal is to double that for 2026.”
Performing for 26 years and internationally renowned, LIVE WIRETM is the most accurate and authentic AC/DC tribute band both in sound and stage performance. Emulating the pure essence, power and electricity of what an AC/DC show is all about, LIVE WIRETM has proven to audiences’ time and time again that you can’t stop rock ‘n roll. “As a local resident of the Williamsport area, we’re thrilled to be performing right here in Central PA”, states Mike Hughes, who is the mirror image of Angus himself on Lead Guitar. “The closest we play on a regular basis to here is at Penns Peak. And to be able to help support a local organization, in a great acoustic auditorium, and raise money and awareness for the Scottish Rite’s charitable efforts — what could be better?”
Corporate sponsors include Vision Wealth Advisors LLC, Nortech Energy Solutions, Solar Girl/Solar Guy, and Seneca Resources Company LLC.
