Since we don’t have term limits in Washington, you would think President Biden and all his cronies would understand just how fragile America’s freedom truly is. They lived through 9/11 in 2001. They witnessed the horror of that day and felt the emotions of our Nation being attacked and shaken to its very core. This all happened within about 2 1/2 hours, at the hands of 21 terrorists. This was followed by the anxiety of the who, what, why, and are more attacks coming? And where does this end?
Most of those alive that day completely understand what I’m talking about. Our educational systems have done a terrible job of educating Americans that were born or have immigrated to our Nation after that day on how very blessed we are to call the United States of America our home. That this freedom is not infinite and makes us a target to those, who would stop at nothing to end our American way of life. I know without a shadow of a doubt there are many institutions of higher learning that would sooner teach students about everything that’s wrong with America than all the opportunities that are available under the American Flag and the true price of liberty.
Before I get started, just let me say I could care less if the president is a democrat, republican or independent — I would be writing the same column. Since President Biden has taken office, I don’t think any worse decisions could have been made regarding our national defense and protecting our future freedom. Simply put, if you look at the situations he has faced, he has done the complete commonsense opposite of what’s best for our Nation. I realize this policy and decision-making is coming from behind the scenes, and he’s just the front man. What I would really like to know is who is calling the shots and what is the motive?
I don’t want to alarm anybody, but as quickly as our Nation changed on 9/11, the possibility of an attack on American soil or the full-blown beginning of World War 3 is more likely than what Osama Bin Laden was able to pull off on 9/11 with the element of surprise. With all that I’ve seen in the last three years when history is written at a future date, would anyone be surprised if the beginning of the next world conflict was marked by the COVID-19 pandemic, Russia invading Ukraine, or what’s unfolding around Taiwan?
So, how did we get here so quickly with Joe Biden as president? It began with the administration’s choices for vice president, cabinet appointments, and the selection of key people who were selected for President Joe, not by him. None of them were about finding the best-qualified person for the job, which is beyond dangerous when you’re talking about national security and our military. Almost all were selected by what the person looked like. The President even made this known preemptively in many cases.
President Biden’s leadership has been viewed as questionable around the world since taking office. It began during the pandemic, with more drugs, illegals, and criminals coming into our Country than could be counted and his weakening of the needed security at our borders. I could care less if you didn’t want the wall and hated the last President, but for so many reasons, we needed better border security than ever, and I’m not talking about just our Southern border.
Next up, that I even noted at the time, was that Russia, China, and every terrorist organization were watching how we exited Afghanistan. What a debacle. Seven billion dollars in military equipment left behind. More military lives lost, and of those that helped us in that hell hole for years, then we’ll ever know. The Taliban almost immediately came back into power.
Vladimir Putin was studying the decision-making going on by the United States government in between launching cyber-attacks. He saw the weakness exhibited by Biden’s policy that gave him the green light to invade Ukraine. There was absolutely no one within the Biden administration who would even begin negotiating with Russia or whom Putin feared. Biden then did basically the unthinkable and let him know that there would be no U.S. military action for their invasion.
That quickly gets us to the latest Biden administration and Congressional brilliance. Sending Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi to Taiwan is basically playing a game of high-stakes chicken with China. China is a civilization that has been around for 3,000 years and is pretty clear about its beliefs and the importance of following them even if you disagree with them. Not to mention, only 110 miles of the Taiwan Strait, which separates mainland China from Taiwan, where over a billion people reside on an island just slightly bigger than Maryland.
Well, the Chinese warned our elected genius what was going to happen if Speaker Pelosi traveled to Taiwan, and they delivered immediately with military exercises around the island shortly after her departure. The truth of the matter is China can flat out take Taiwan whenever they want because of the geographical location and obviously their fire power compared to ours in that corner of the world. There had to be a better diplomatic solution than what was nothing more than a historic photo-op for Pelosi and Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen. This has escalated to World War written all over it.
In closing, if China was going to be pushed to fire ballistic missiles over Taiwan and break off diplomacy with the U.S., maybe this should have resulted from being held accountable for a pandemic that has killed over 1 million American citizens and nearly 6.5 million individuals worldwide.
God Bless America.
