C.H. Waltz and Sons Celebrating 75 Years in Business

Not many businesses these days are able to stand the test of time, but C.H. Waltz and Sons is one that has. They are celebrating their 75th Anniversary. They have gained an enviable record in the sales, maintenance, and parts of lawn and garden tractors; sub-compact, compact, utility, and full-size tractors, construction equipment, off-road vehicles, handheld power equipment, hay tools, and more.

The business was founded in 1947 by Clark H. Waltz, later incorporated by his sons as C.H. Waltz Sons. It is still a family-owned and operated business.

It was previously owned and operated by Ted Waltz, youngest son of Clark Waltz.

It is currently owned and operated by Deanna Boehret, the oldest daughter of Ted Waltz; both of Deanna’s sons are involved in business management and development.

There are more than 40 employees; each store has sales and parts sales representatives, a rental and service coordinator, several service technicians, truckers, and office staff. Many employees worked there a long time — several for more than 20 years.

Their customers include homeowners and commercial, including landscapers and construction companies.

Kubota is their main equipment brand. They sell Kubota tractors, zero-turns, construction equipment, and utility vehicles at all four locations.

Other brands are Land Pride, Polaris, Cub Cadet, ECHO, STIHL, Husqvarna, DR Power Equipment, Exmark, Woods, SnowEx, Ariens, Hud-Son Forest Equipment.

They also trade and sell used equipment. They stock parts for all the brands we carry and then some, also keeping high demand parts in stock. They can pretty quickly order anything special.

They offer a large rental fleet, popular for both commercial use and homeowner — everything from small tractors to construction equipment and other miscellaneous equipment like straw blowers and log splitters.

C.H. Waltz and Sons has four locations in Cogan Station, Dallas (opened 2007) and Winfield (opened 2009), and Bloomsburg (opened 2016).

“I like working at C.H. Waltz Sons because it’s a great environment…we work together as a team to keep customers coming back and make it a great experience for them,” said Denny Paulhamus, Parts Sales Representative, who has been employed 26 years for Waltz’s.

“We’re excited to see where the next 75 years take us. No matter the products we sell, the advancements that come about, we’ll continue to offer our communities our knowledge and expertise in the tractor industry,” Deanna Boehret, owner of C.H. Waltz, said.

To help celebrate their 75th Anniversary May 31-June 4, Waltz’s will be holding Kubota Field Event at all locations.

“It’s a hands-on opportunity for customers to test drive the equipment. By attending the event, we can give them a Kubota exclusive coupon for up to $250 off on their next purchase through the end of the year. If you think you’ll be buying a Kubota this year, you’ll want to come to our Kubota Field Event and talk to a sales representative,” stated Graham Schwanbeck, Sales Representative, Cogan Station.

You will also find them at the Bloomsburg Fair, just inside Gate 5, September 23-October 1.

Boehret concluded by saying, “We’re excited to see where the next 75 years take us. No matter the products we sell, the advancements that come about, we’ll continue to offer our communities our knowledge and expertise in the tractor industry.”
