Watsontown Centennial Lioness Lions Club Hosts Fundraiser

The Watsontown Lioness Lions Club (WCLLC) is a non-profit organization. The Lions Club is an international non-political service organization established originally in 1917, to raise awareness and provide support to empower volunteers to serve their community for the betterment of their communities and the world.

Their mission is, “We Serve.” Local Lions Club programs include sight conservation, hearing and speech conservation, diabetes awareness, youth outreach, international relations, environmental issues, meet humanitarian needs, and many other programs to encourage peace and promote international understanding through the Lions Club.

They sponsor two vendor events each year as fundraisers to help continue their efforts to support causes and charities in our community. 100% of funds collected in the Lions Club MUST go back into the community. They have recently donated $1,000 to Camp Victory to aid them in running their various camps; $500 to Neighbors helping Neighbors; $500 to the Watsontown Police Christmas & many other charitable causes.

The WCLLC is sponsoring a Spring Antique Crafter/Vendor Show on April 23, 2022 at the Watsontown Alliance Church Activity Building located at 1165 8th St. Dr., Watsontown PA from 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. There will be lots of indoor and outdoor vendors/crafters to shop, Chinese auction, and the kitchen will be open with some delicious food. Come out and support local small businesses and your local Lioness Club — your support helps them continue to provide donations for many worthy causes and organizations in our community.
