62nd Annual Home Show to Take Place This Weekend

With the long shadow of the COVID pandemic seeming to abate and the ending of a long winter, it is now a good time to start thinking about those home improvement projects you may have been considering or have put off.

Well, the best place to find out more about doing those projects and doing them in an efficient and economical way may be found at the 62nd Annual West Branch Susquehanna Builders Home Show to be held this weekend, April 1 to 3, at the Lycoming Mall at the former Bon Ton store.

For more than 60 years, the West Branch Susquehanna Builders Home Show has grown to become one of the area’s most highly anticipated events for both businesses and consumers alike. Its success has tagged it as one of the most successful home shows in the region. Exhibitors come from all over Central Pennsylvania and the Northern Tier, even as far away as Harrisburg and Altoona.

They have over 60,000 square feet of exhibit space featuring over 110 vendors this year. Last year, show organizers made the move to a larger location and spread out the vendors with community safety in mind. In addition, they have a large outdoor exhibit space with a variety of exhibitors and two food trucks.

It has been a long winter, and they hope this will provide a great opportunity for the community to come out and see all the latest trends, products, and ideas for your home improvement or building projects. They had a very successful turnout at last year’s show, and with more things being open and more people moving about, they look forward to seeing even more new faces this year!

Show organizers have invited local officials to kick off the show with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, April 1. The Home Show will open to the public at 3 p.m. This year they will be supporting a great local nonprofit, Dwell Orphan Care, with a donation. Their mission, from their website: “Dwell works to empower, equip, and encourage local churches and the community to come alongside foster and adoptive families with intention and encouragement. With an army of love and a network of support around them, foster and adoptive families remain committed and can focus on raising emotionally connected children whose lives are full of hope and promise for the future.” Jennifer Lake, the founder and Executive Director has been invited to join our ribbon cutting as well.

Vendors can showcase their business services and products to many local homeowners. Attendees will find a wealth of information, products, services, and creative ideas all in one place, drawing inspiration and opportunities from unexpected places. The exhibitors are ready to answer your questions and help bring life to your ideas.

Admission is $5 for adults. Children 18 and under are admitted free with an adult. Tickets may be purchased at the door, cash only.

Spring is a great time to think about building a new home, begin your next home improvement project, or get new ideas.
