Happy Halloween…

Ghosts and goblins,
Spooks galore,
Scary witches at your door!
Jack-o’-lanterns smiling bright,
Wishing you a haunting night!

Pssssssst! Hey kids! C’mere! Got something to tell y’all! (Parental figures, please skip down two paragraphs.)

OK, are they gone? Good!

Alright littles, just a reminder there are multiple nights of trick-or-treating this weekend, so make sure you get the ‘rents to take you out FRIDAY (at the Crosscutters), SATURDAY and SUNDAY!! Just make sure all your homework and chores are done before you ask, you’ll thank me later. Oh, and brush your teeth when you get home, I don’t need all the local dentists mad at me!

In case you are curious — the final total was 108 Halloween Candies. There were 52 in the October 13th edition and 56 in the October 20th edition. There must have been one particular candy that was hard to find, so I also included the 107 entries in the drawing too.

We want to offer our sincerest thanks to everyone who entered! Because of all your counting, we will be donating $500 to the Clinton County SPCA! Seriously, y’all are amazing! I received a ton of entries in this year’s contest! And as always, thank you to Jimmy for always giving a little extra in these contests! The puppers and kitties appreciate it!

One Last Bit of Halloween

There will be people out celebrating Halloween all weekend long, so please be careful. Between Uber and Lyft there is no reason not to have a safe ride home, so please be careful out there!

Don’t forget to be extra cautious if you are out and about Saturday AND Sunday. Kids get excited and stop paying attention, so you need to be their eyes and ears. Since there is pretty much a 50/50 split on the cities, towns, boroughs and townships that are trick-or-treating on Saturday and Sunday, be extra safe when out and about both days!

Everyone wants their Halloween festivities to be fun, but it is important that trick-or-treaters and their chaperones prioritize safety as well.

Be sure to check out Lou’s story on page 6 for all the places to get candy this weekend, as well as tips to make your Halloween as safe as possible!
