Counting Candy Contest Continues…

We are officially on the second and final week of our Annual Halloween Contest! Just in case you need another reminder on how to participate…

Scattered throughout this issue you will find a bunch of little candies spread throughout! All you need to do is count them…easy peasy.

Now, take care polar bear — I’ll wait while you count…

Done? Are you sure? Did you remember to count twice?

OK, now add that number to the number you got by counting the little candies last week. Got your grand total? Cool, now send it to me!

You can email the answer to contest@webbweekly.com, or you can drop a post card in the snail mail or at our office at Webb Weekly, 280 Kane St., Suite 2, South Williamsport, PA 17702. We are open Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m., and you can also drop the entries in our mailbox after hours! Entries must be submitted by Oct. 22nd around noonish and only one entry per person.

I will then take everyone who answered correctly and pick 10 random winners. Winners will receive a bucket full of goodies big enough to make the Easter Bunny blush! Winners will be listed in the Oct. 27th edition. Winners will be contacted by phone or email and prizes can be picked up in our office Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Every year we donate $1.00 for each entry to the Lycoming County SPCA, LAPS or Beckoning Cat, or the Clinton County SPCA. Since we did the Lycoming County SPCA last year, it means that it is the Clinton County SPCA’s turn this year.

So, look carefully and count them up! I get a little sneaky when I place them, so make sure you check every page closely! The variety of friends and fiends makes it a bit more difficult to see, so you gotta look close – know what I mean jelly bean?

Before you @ me with talk of how you don’t have last week’s issue, and you forgot to count or forget your total, have no fear, technology is here! If you go to webbweekly.com you can flip through last week’s issue and count them there! This is why I love technology people! Or you are welcome to pop in the office for an extra copy.

We are heading into our last weekend before Halloween! Have you gotten out for the fall family fun yet? If not, I highly recommend it! It’s a great way to spend an afternoon or evening with those nearest and dearest. We have a bunch of farms and pumpkin patches to visit in the area to get your fill of pumpkins, gourds, corn mazes, and petting zoos! Get out and enjoy the area! If you really like the spooky part of spooky season, there are some great haunted attractions around too!
