Library Creates Kits to Celebrate Father’s Day

The James V. Brown Library, 19 E. Fourth St., has announced the availability of Father’s Day kits for families.

The kits can be used by families to create special treats to celebrate a special man in their lives on Sunday, June 20. Father’s Day is a great opportunity to appreciate the love and effort of male figures in our lives, such as fathers, uncles, grandfathers and stepfathers.

Twenty-four kits are available on a first-come, first-served basis, one per family, in the first-floor of the Welch Children’s Wing starting Monday, June 7.

Each kit contains a DIY barbecue rub, handprint Shrinky dink keychain, fabric paints for can koozie and apron. The kits are designed to promote family engagement and creativity.

The kits were funded by support from the Friends of the James V. Brown Library. To become a member, visit https://jvbrown.edu/about-the-friends/.
