Well, well, well

Well, well, well

Well, well, well — if it isn’t Christmas sneaking up on me once again. Every year I swear I am going to start early and get everything done and just enjoy the season. Consider this year yet another fail. I’ve bought like one Christmas present, haven’t gotten a tree yet, and haven’t dug out the decorations yet — #ChristmasFail. I have, however, been to Candy Cane Lane twice, so there’s that!

Hopefully, I’ll at least get started this weekend but — #nopromises.

How about you? Have you found your Christmas spirit yet? I’ve mentioned before that I always take longer than the average bear to find my holly-jolly, but I will get there soon!

Blaise Alexander Family Dealership’s Christmas Coloring Contest…

Holy moly! We are getting a ton of entries for our Christmas Coloring Contest! Thank you so much to all the kids who entered! Frosty, Cherry, and Sprinkles are still hard at work sorting and judging all the entries. Tinsel, however — well, there is always one that I find running amok in town instead of doing their job! She’s been bouncing up and down Candy Cane Lane. She’s also been spotted climbing trees in Brandon Park while texting the Mayor to get the lights lit. I even heard that she went downtown to the Running of the Krampus to hit bad children with sticks! Once again, if you see her out and about, maybe bring her back to the office? Just be warned. She’s…a lot.

At least Frosty, Cherry and Spinkles are getting some work done. At least I think they are. Honestly, I’m not even sure. Due to COVID concerns they are working from the workshop at the top of Candy Cane Lane. They somehow elf-magicked up a series of pneumatic tubes through South Williamsport, so I’m just sending them all that way to be sorted and judged. Here’s hoping they get them back to me in time! I’ve been sending cookies and Christmas Tree Cakes with each batch of entries as extra incentive!

We will be announcing the winners of the contest in the December 23rd edition, so there is still time to get your entries in. If you need extra coloring pages stop in the office, or you can find printable copies on our website – webbweekly.com or on our Facebook page (it’s pinned to the top of the page).

I also want to send another thank you to all of those supplying our great prizes! This year we have prizes from Flyworld, English Model Railroad, Elery Nau, Hooplas, Treasure Castle Playland, Harder Sporting Goods, AMC Theaters, Dairy Queen, Trout Pond Park and Faxon Bowling! You can drop them off in the office or mail them to:

Also, as you are out and about this holiday season, please don’t forget about those less fortunate than yourselves. The Salvation Army, American Rescue Workers, Toys for Tots, Family Promise, the Lycoming County United Way, the Central PA Food Bank and more can all use extra help during the holidays, so if you are able, please keep them in mind for Christmas donations. Tis the season of giving and there are a lot of people out there who could use an extra hand, not just at Christmas but throughout the year!

While you are out shopping or having a holiday visit, and you happen to spot Tinsel, can you please remind her that she has to be back in the office by the 23rd? Santa still needs her for last minute Christmas doings at the North Pole.
