Montoursville Area School District Foundation Establishes Distinguished Alumni Award

The Montoursville Area School District through the years has graduated many students who have contributed greatly to the greater good of not only this area but the wider world beyond it. In view of this fact the Montoursville Area School District has established an award that will recognize the achievements of some of these Warrior graduates.

According to Dale Ulmer, a member of the board of the MASD Foundation, in 2019, Mike Musto, Foundation President, established a subcommittee to develop an alumni recognition program. “He appointed myself as chairperson. A committee of community members was formed with the goal to establish a functional program,” Ulmer said.

The committee completed its work in early 2020 and the award program was approved by the MASD Foundation board of directors.

The Montoursville Area School District website will be the information hub and also act as the portal for alumni recognition nominations.

What follows is a description of the award and information about the criteria and nominating process for it.
