Mike Rupert, owner of Rupert’s Specialty Meats in Montoursville started out helping his father process deer at a young age. Then, in 1984 he began cutting meat.

In June of 1987, Mike and his father Bob Rupert started Rupert’s Specialty Meats.

Five years ago, Bob retired, but Mike continues to grow the business, and has now introduced a 3rd generation into the family business — his son, Joey.

Rupert’s continues to be a staple Montoursville business that prides itself on fresh and made from scratch items.

They cut meat every day, and everything is always fresh. They even grind their own chuck to ensure the best quality possible.

The items in the deli case are made daily and, of course, from scratch.

Rupert’s always has fantastic daily lunch specials, including a salad bar, and of course everyone loves Helen’s pies that are baked fresh every Friday.

If candy making is your game, Rupert’s is your place to be. They have the largest selection of candy making supplies in the area. They are fully stocked with fresh coating chocolate, fondant, coconut, caramel, flavoring oil, rubber mint molds, candy molds, sanding sugars, edible glitter, cookie cutters, and raw peanuts.

Mike, Joey and everyone at Rupert’s Meats have been working tirelessly to make sure their customers have everything they need in this time of crisis. While they have had to make some adjustments on the fly, they are doing all they can to provide great, fresh items to area patrons.
