Williamsport, PA… Public transit operations will continue with a small reduction in River Valley Transit bus service during non-peak times beginning on Wednesday, March 18, 2020.
Until further notice the service changes begin at 5:30a.m. as follows;
5:30a.m. – 10a.m.: Normal service on all routes
10a.m. – 2p.m.:Follow Nightline Route schedule, van service available
2p.m. – 7p.m.:Normal service on all routes
7.pm.: Bus service ends
The Clinton County Express service will delete the first and last trips at 5:45a.m. and 5:45p.m.
The Trade & Transit Centre II reception office located on Transit Drive will be open for EZ Pass sales only during regular hours between 6a.m. and 6p.m. weekdays and 8:30a.m. and 3:00p.m. on Saturdays. The staff at the River Valley Transit administrative office will continue to report and conduct business but the office will not be open to the public or for business meetings.
Service changes are subject to change at any time. Governor Wolf suggested a shutdown of all nonessential business and River Valley Transit is asking customers to limit fixed route transportation to essential needs only and trips may include rides to work, medical appointments and grocery stores. We ask that you continue to follow the advice of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Pennsylvania Department of Health and maintain healthy practices such as frequent hand washing and maintain six feet of distance between yourself and other people.
While buses are cleaned and sanitized daily enhanced detailed procedure includes additional cleaning of offices, workplaces and all vehicles.
