Popular Adult DIY Classes Return This Fall at the Library

The James V. Brown Library, 19 E. Fourth St., has announced its schedule of Adult DIY programs for the fall.

The same class will be offered at multiple times on the same day to allow for smaller class sizes and more hands-on opportunities for learning.

The schedule of crafts are as follows:

• Marble Pour Jars – September 24: 10 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m. or 5:30 p.m. Please bring your own glass vase or Mason jar to use paint to create a beautiful marble-effect jar or vase.

• Cork Pumpkins – October 22: 10 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m. or 5:30 p.m. Participants will use corks to create a fun, fall-themed decoration.

• Glycerin soap – November 26: 10 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m. or 5:30 p.m. Participants will create homemade soap in holiday shapes.

• Holiday homemade gifts – December 2: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Participants can drop in to create a make-and-take holiday gift while supplies last.

These programs are one of the many ways the Brown Library supports the PA Forward Initiative by providing civic and social literacy opportunities for learning.

The program will be presented in the Lowry Room on the third floor of the Welch Children’s Wing. Registration is required. Visit calendar.jvbrown.edu to register or call 570-326-0536.
