Christy Haberstroh Easter Egg Hunt To Occur Saturday, April 13

The grounds of Brandon Park will sound again with the happy voices of children trying to round up Easter eggs to brighten their own Easter baskets as the City of Williamsport is excited to announce the Annual Easter Egg Hunt in loving memory of Christy Haberstroh, on Saturday, April 13, beginning at 2 p.m. and is open for all children up to the age of 10. The inclement weather date will be Saturday, April 20.

This event is slated to be an excellent time for the children and a fantastic start to your Easter celebration. There will be candy-filled eggs and special prizes. The only thing that organizers ask is for participants to bring their own basket or bag. This will give the children a place to hold their eggs found and make for an easier day.

All children participating in the Hunt will be broken up by age into five divisions as followed: one and two, three and four, five and six, seven and eight, and lastly nine and 10.

Furthermore, no Easter celebration would be complete without a visit from the Easter Bunny with plenty of photo opportunities! Free face painting, Easter craft provided by Macaroni Kid Williamsport, and multiple bounce houses will also be available for your entertainment. Organizers from the City give a special thanks to Taco Bill’s Taco Madness food truck for being on site and offering delicious treats if the candy isn’t enough. So, bring your children, grandchildren, and friends!

Also, organizers would like to thank their generous donors and volunteers: VFW Post #7863, Williamsport Inn, LLC, PA Bounce House Party Rental, Lang’s Chocolates, Faxon Bowling Lanes, STEP AmeriCorps, City Hall Employees, City Council Representatives, Recreation Commission members, Brandon Park Commission members, Pepsi, Hoss’ Steak & Sea House, Treasure Castle Playland, World of Little League Museum and It’s My Party Store.

Questions about the event should be directed to Jessie Novinger at 570-327-7510 or recreation@cityofwilliamsport.org.
