YWCA and Williamsport Police Stand Against Domestic Violence

The YWCA Northcentral PA and the Williamsport Bureau of Police are teaming up to sell t-shirts for Domestic Violence Awareness Month to benefit Wise Options and show support for survivors and victims of domestic violence.

The relationship between the YWCA and city police is essential to protect and save the lives of victims across Lycoming County. There are advocates in both organizations dedicated to helping those experiencing abuse.

“Having strong ties with law enforcement upholds a united front in the battle against domestic violence,” said Amber Morningstar, program director at the YWCA. “Together we aim to provide the safety and justice victims deserve.”

Spreading awareness has the ability to instill hope in victims of domestic violence that they are not alone and there are individuals available to help.

The shirts are on sale until Sept. 9 and can be ordered at prints.rogersuniforms.com/takeastand.
