Meet the Cutters Reception Coming June 13 + Hump Day Happy Hour

The Williamsport Crosscutters will be holding the annual Meet the Cutters reception, Wednesday, June 13 from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at BB&T Ballpark. Admission is free for all fans. Cutters manager Pat Borders and the entire squad of Williamsport Crosscutters players and coaches will be on hand to meet and sign autographs for all in attendance.

Cutters manager Pat Borders and the entire squad of Williamsport Crosscutters players and coaches will be on hand to meet and sign autographs for all in attendance. There will be prize giveaways along with complimentary hot dogs and refreshments. Fox Sports Williamsport, the Cutters flagship station, will be broadcasting live from the event.

Also going on concurrently with Meet the Cutters, will be Hump Day Happy Hour on the UPMC Susquehanna Logger’s Landing presented by Boom City Brewing Co from 5-8 p.m. The happy hour features $1 hot dogs and $1 drafts along with DJ & karaoke entertainment with Double You Tunes.
Cutters Open 2018 Season June 15!

The Williamsport Crosscutters open their 2018 season at BB&T Ballpark under returning manager Pat Borders, Friday, June 15 as they host the State College Spikes at 7:05 p.m. Opening Night 2018 is presented by River Valley Transit & KISS 102.7. Opening Night will feature a free schedule magnet for all fans plus a post-game fireworks show.

Tickets for Opening Night are still available. Fans may order online at Crosscutters.com/Tickets, via phone at (570) 326-3389 or in-person at BB&T Ballpark Monday-Friday 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and on Opening Day from 9 a.m.-3pm.
8th Annual Cutters 5K Race Set for June 23

The Williamsport Crosscutters, in partnership with the Children’s Development Center, will be holding the 8th Annual Cutters 5K on Saturday, June 23rd at BB&T Ballpark at Historic Bowman Field.

The race, through Williamsport’s West End, begins at 9am with registration open at 8am. The course has runners starting outside the ballpark entrance with the final sprint around the field on the stadium’s warning track. Both runners and walkers are encouraged to take part in the event.

All proceeds from the event benefit the Children’s Development Center of Williamsport. Since 1923, the CDC has been providing services to children with special needs from birth to 21 years of age. Last year’s event attracted almost 200 participants.

Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place runners in seven male and female age categories with the first-place runners having the opportunity to throw out ceremonial first pitches at the Williamsport Crosscutters game on June 30th. Prizes will also be awarded to the top three male and female walkers. The event also features the always entertaining Kids Fun Run, free for children age 10 and under. All children participating will receive an award.

Registration is $15 in advance and $20 on race day. All participants registering by June 11 are guaranteed a free race t-shirt. Williamsport Crosscutters Celebrating 20 Seasons in ‘18

2018 will mark the Williamsport Crosscutters 20th season, and the team is planning to celebrate this milestone in a number of fun ways this summer. In celebrating 20 seasons of Cutters Baseball, Thursday home games will take on a whole new meaning at BB&T Ballpark. The team will celebrate Throwback Thursdays, presented by UPMC Susquehanna. Cutters players and coaches will sport throwback style uniforms in an ode to those worn during the 1999-2007 seasons. The game-worn throwback jerseys will be auctioned off to fans at the conclusion of the season. Every Thursday game will feature plenty of throwback-themed fun. The Cutters will be bringing back retired on-field promotions that fans will remember from the past 20 seasons and have special appearances from former mascot Rusty Roughcut, along with throwback apparel giveaways for the first 1,000 fans each Thursday including:
• Cutters to the Majors T-shirt Giveaway on June 28
• Throwback Logo T-shirt Giveaway on July 12
• Throwback Replica Jersey Giveaway on July 19
• Rusty Roughcut T-shirt Giveaway on August 2
• 2003 Championship T-shirt Giveaway on August 9

Happy Hours at BB&T Ballpark to Begin June 6-Ten Happy Hours Scheduled with Live Music

Wednesday is the new Friday! The Williamsport Crosscutters have announced the return of Hump Day Happy Hours at BB&T Ballpark this summer. The non-game day events, presented by Boom City Brewing Co., take place on ten select Wednesdays from June 6 until September 26. Each Hump Day Happy Hour runs from 5pm-8pm on the UPMC Loggers Landing, located down the right field line. Each happy hour event features live music, full bar and food service plus $1 drafts and $1 hot dogs. There is no admission charge.

Hump Day Happy Hours are held weather permitting.
