Cutters Featured in 2018 Topps Card Release

The Williamsport Crosscutters will again be featured on two special Fragments of the Farm cards as part of the 2018 Topps Pro Debut baseball card set.

The cards feature Cutters pitcher Kyle Young with a fragment of a sign from the 2017 MLB Little League Classic and a Jhailyn Ortiz offering that includes a swatch from the shoes of Cutters mascot Boomer.

“We think it’s wonderful to have pieces of Cutters history as part of a Topps national card release for the fourth straight year.  We love being able to share a little piece of Cutters baseball with card collectors around the country,” said Gabe Sinicropi, Cutters Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations.

In previous years, shirt relics from Cutters Director of Smiles, Rhashan West-Bey along with Boomer’s fur and pieces of a vintage Sawmill Team Store sign have been featured in the Fragments of the Farm insert set.

Topps Pro Debut features the top minor league players and showcases the first minor league images of many of the 2017 MLB draftees.  The set features a 200-card base set plus a variety of special inserts.

Hobby boxes and packs of 2018 Topps Pro Debut are scheduled to be available starting May 30 nationwide.  A limited number of packs will be available for sale in the Sawmill Team Store at BB&T Ballpark starting in June.
