I have been asked by family, friends and readers to rerun my article from the 10/25/12 edition, in memory of my father. I am touched that it meant so much to so many folks.

Many of you have shared stories with me about my father. Dad’s business sense and dedication to energy services and his community; how he would listen and talk to people like he knew them their whole life even though he just met them; his sense of humor and the great pranks he pulled over the years; how he loved coaching and sports and what a proud grandfather he was; the random acts of kindness that my father did for people that my family knew nothing about.

Thanks for sharing these stories, it has meant more than you will ever know and thank you to everyone for the love, support and friendship of the last year.
