Kathy G. Kern, 62, of Hughesville, died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2018, at her home.
Born Jan. 26, 1956, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of Chester M. and Adele R. (Trimble) Walters.
Kathy was a 1973 graduate of Muncy High School. She worked many years as a nurse’s aide at Sycamore Manor. She was an avid animal lover and loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving are her husband, Charles A. Kern, whom she married June 1, 1974; two sons, Aaron C. Kern (Cristina), of Milton and Adam C. Kern (Gloria), of Muncy; six grandchildren, Elliot, Austen, Aiden, Aria, Adam Jr., and Axel; and a brother, Steven F. Walters, of Muncy.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Amy Michelle Kern on August 25, 2002, and a brother, Robert W. Walters.
A memorial service to honor the life of Kathy will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 27 at Knight-Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Ave., Williamsport. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park, McElhattan. A time of visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of service at Knight-Confer Funeral Home.
